The Kidde i9010 is a 10-year worry-free smoke alarm. It features a sealed-in lithium battery with a lifespan of 10 years. This means that battery replacement is unnecessary; simply replace the whole unit at the end of its 10 year lifespan. When this battery is at the end of its life, it will chirp every 40-45 seconds to indicate that a new alarm needs to be installed.
Because this Kidde smoke alarm runs off of a tamper-proof battery, it features a very simple installation. Simply attach the mounting bracket where desired and then connect the alarm, which will then automatically activate the battery. Once installed, battery replacement and maintenance is not necessary, cutting down on battery costs and hassle. This unit features alarm memory and smart hush technology.
